The Club Launch Party

CounterStrike: Source National Tournament

Saturday, September 8th, XG and XFX will be hosting a CS:Source Double Elimination LAN tournament.  Up to 8 teams will compete for a chance to participate in the National Online Tournament, Sunday September 9th with CASH, XFX and NVidia Prizes up for grabs!!!  $150 Entry fee per team to participate!

XFX/XG CSS Regional Qualifier

Team Registration (for those who did not prepay) will be at 10am Saturday, the first round of matches will begin at 10:30am.  Personal mice and keyboards are allowed, but Headphones must be USB driven to be allowed during tournament play. 

XG will be Open July 4th at 2pm til Midnight

Comcast Command and Conquer 3 $5k Tournament

Saturday, June 30th, XG will be hosting the LAN portion of Comcast's $5k CnC3 Tournament.  The Double Elimination 2v2 Tournament begins at 6pm, there is no entry fee, just buy time and play, but we will be having a special for teammates that are interested, $25 per team gets you and your teammate a day pass (normally $36!!!) and you have a chance to win Saturday's event (with prizes for the top 3 teams of the lan event) and the first place team plays for bigger prizes in Sunday's online portion of the event (1pm).  For full details check out the mini-site.

XG takes on the World in Shadowrun and wins!

IGames hosted a 4v4 Shadowrun launch tournament sponsered by Microsoft and Dell Sunday afternoon.  Crushing the competition to secure 1st place, the XG team wins ~$8k in prizes including a top of the line Dell computer for the store and 4 XBox 360s with lots of goodies.    Congratz!

Mondays are the nights to command and conquer!  Come Mondays to play CnC3 in the IGames 2v2 Ladder (or to practice for the summer season) and your buddy plays for free!!!  Or, of course, you can split the difference!  That makes an all day pass just $5 if you are looking for some fast paced action!  You can also get some tips from the Nation's #1 team, Larry's Laffers, and you too can dominate!

The future of gaming is here at XG.  We've upgraded 4 computers to include some of the latest technology, a high speed dual core processor, 2 gigs of Ram, 22" Widescreen display and, pushing the pixels, is a brand new 8800GTS video card!  There is a small additional fee to play on these new rigs, $1 on the price of a daypass or other daily special, however, no additional charge for our hourly patrons.  Come give them a whirl!

As part of the signup process, teams that prepaid for the LAN event would have a chance to win back their entries fees in a random drawing, all teams prepaid, and the selected winner is Devastation.  It was a great tournament overall, and with a few adjustments and some extra CRTs, the next one will be better than ever.  Hope to see you there!

Everquest II: Echos of Faydwer Premiere

The premiere will run  NOON - 3PM.  This is a FREE event but advanced registration is REQUIRED and you must play Everquest II.  Free food (probably pizza) will be provided as well as canned sodas to quench your thirst!  We are limited to seats on hand so the first 27 people will be able to play for free and essentially get a free promotional key for Everquest II itself!

Congratulations Team XG & Xtreme

Xtreme Gaming would like to congratulate our 2, 8 man, teams that participated in the IGames Battlefield 2 league that started up over the summer and ended a few weeks ago.  Team XG, consisting mainly of Armed&Hammered, BillDarius, Shovelor, MrFurious, Liquid Ice, Ohs04dv, Tomato and a host of substitutes including Bradman, Vtec, and Akrismo,  came in 2nd place (with a close match in the finals) winning 4 P4 3.6 Processors and 4 Intel 925x Motherboards, all in all about $2500 worth of prizes.  Team Xtreme, consisting of Pic, Pretz, Rico, Pionex, Rattlesnake, Fuz, Shadowmoses and LandOctupus, placed 4th after a narrow loss to Team XG in the semi-finals.  They pick up a new ZBoard with the BF2 inset.  Congrats to everyone!

The new BF2: Special Forces league will be gearing up pretty soon on Monday nights.  Hope to see you all there!
