Saturday, June 9th, XG will be hosting the LAN portion of Comcast's CnC3 Tournament.  The Double Elimination 2v2 Tournament begins at 5pm, the $25 entry per team gets you and your teammate a day pass (normally $36!!!) and you have a chance to win Saturday's event and play for big prizes in Sunday's online portion of the event (1pm).  For full details check out the mini-site.

Saturday, May 5th, XG and IZ3D will be hosting a CS:1.6 Double Elimination LAN tournament.  Up to 8 teams will compete for a chance to participate in the National Online Tournament, Sunday March 4th with $5000 in cash prizes up for grabs!!!  $150 Entry fee per team to participate, $50 non-refundable pre-pay to hold your spot, as an incentive, one team that pre-pays and is not advancing to the online finals, will be randomly selected to get a refund on their entry fees!  So sign up today!!!

The future of gaming is here at XG.  We've upgraded 4 computers to include some of the latest technology, a high speed dual core processor, 2 gigs of Ram, 22" Widescreen display and, pushing the pixels, is a brand new 8800GTS video card!  There is a small additional fee to play on these new rigs, $1 on the price of a daypass or other daily special, however, no additional charge for our hourly patrons.  Come give them a whirl!

As part of the signup process, teams that prepaid for the LAN event would have a chance to win back their entries fees in a random drawing, all teams prepaid, and the selected winner is Devastation.  It was a great tournament overall, and with a few adjustments and some extra CRTs, the next one will be better than ever.  Hope to see you there!

National Tournaments

Saturday, February 24th, XG will be taking part in IGames XBox360 Battlestations Midway National Tournament.  XG can host up to 4, 2 man teams.  Pool play on Saturday will consist of 3-6 teams per pool in a total of 16 pools.  The winner of each pool will return on Sunday to compete for prizes in a single elimination tournament!

Congratulations to teams Rico's Roughnecks (3rd), Team XG (4th) and CTRL (with the harder schedule, 7th) for winning prizes during the BS:M tournament.  Congratz!

Everquest II: Echos of Faydwer Premiere

Echos of Faydwer marks the 4th and largest expansion for the popular MMO Everquest II.  This premiere will be a little different for XG since Sony is sponsoring the entirety of the event.

The premiere will run  NOON - 3PM.  This is a FREE event but advanced registration is REQUIRED and you must play Everquest II.  Free food (probably pizza) will be provided as well as canned sodas to quench your thirst!  We are limited to seats on hand so the first 27 people will be able to play for free and essentially get a free promotional key for Everquest II itself!

Xtreme Gaming would like to congratulate our 2, 8 man, teams that participated in the IGames Battlefield 2 league that started up over the summer and ended a few weeks ago.  Team XG, consisting mainly of Armed&Hammered, BillDarius, Shovelor, MrFurious, Liquid Ice, Ohs04dv, Tomato and a host of substitutes including Bradman, Vtec, and Akrismo,  came in 2nd place (with a close match in the finals) winning 4 P4 3.6 Processors and 4 Intel 925x Motherboards, all in all about $2500 worth of prizes.  Team Xtreme, consisting of Pic, Pretz, Rico, Pionex, Rattlesnake, Fuz, Shadowmoses and LandOctupus, placed 4th after a narrow loss to Team XG in the semi-finals.  They pick up a new ZBoard with the BF2 inset.  Congrats to everyone!

The new BF2: Special Forces league will be gearing up pretty soon on Monday nights.  Hope to see you all there!

Wandemonium VI Allnighter!

This weekend marks the 6th All-day/All-night Wandemonium Event!  $20 for Saturday's All-night pass will get you 1/2 a large 1 topping, a free Bawls and 8 hours of gaming starting at midnight, Saturday and ending at 8am Sunday morning.  Sign up early to reserve your seat!
Wandemonium events include 2 mini-tournament in Battle for Middle Earth, and Age of Empires 3 and an All-Day Ladder for BF2.  There will also be a national custome contest with a few prizes to give away for that as well.
